Guy Philippe
Guy Philippe is a convicted drug smuggler serving time in US federal prison. He had gained power in Haiti as a paramilitary leader, and had participated in the electoral process to become a political leader. He led the 2000-2004 paramilitary insurgency that culminated in the U.S. government's 2004 Haitian coup d'état ousting of Haiti's elected government and President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
